Your students' data stays yours.

BirdieBaller is a coaching app for golf teaching pros. This policy explains what we store, who can see it and how to delete it. "We" means the BirdieBaller team. "You" means the coach using the app.

What we store

• Your profile: the name, photo, qualifications and contact details you enter.
• Your students' details that you enter: name, contact details, height, handicap, goals and notes.
• Your lessons: swing videos you record or import, their analysis, your notes, stills and comments, and lesson reports.
• Your sign-in: your Sign in with Apple id and the email Apple shares, which can be a private relay address.

Voice-overs you record stay on your phone. They leave it only when you send one.

Who can see it

• Only you. Students can't see anything unless you send it to them.
• Our small team can access stored data only to keep the service running, and to help when you ask.

How it's used

• Videos are analysed on our own computers to measure the swing. Lesson videos are deleted from the analysis computer once they've been analysed.
• When you ask for a lesson report, the lesson's notes, stills and measurements, and the student's name, handicap and goals, are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to draft it. Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its models.
• Your students' data is never sold, never shared for advertising and never used to train our models.
• The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Where it's kept

On servers run by Amazon Web Services, encrypted in transit. Swing videos and stills are kept until you delete them.

Deleting

• Deleting a lesson deletes its swings, notes, stills and report.
• Deleting a student deletes all their lessons and their details.
• Deleting your account (Profile → Delete account) deletes everything above.

Your responsibility as the coach

• Only film students who have agreed to it. For students under 18, a parent or guardian must agree.
• Students can ask you to delete their data at any time. Deleting the student does that.

This website

• If you ask for founding access, we keep the details you enter in the form (name, email, PGA member number, club and note) and use them only to contact you about BirdieBaller. Email us to have them deleted.
• The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other sites.
